Celebrate National Bison Month at the Smithsonian! Families with learners of all ages are invited to discover different bison adaptations and learn how they are recovering from near-extinction.
Activities include:
- Exploring different hands-on learning stations
- Making observations of museum specimens up close
- Exploring bison history and science through play and art
This is a collaborative drop-in event featuring educators from the National Museum of Natural History, the National Postal Museum, and the National Museum of the American Indian! No registration required; drop in anytime and stay as long as you like.
Cost: Free. Meets at the entrance of Q?rius, The Coralyn W. Whitney Science Education Center, on the Ground Floor of the museum (next to the Constitution Avenue entrance).
