Storytime Studio is a captivating blend of play, educator-led read-alouds, and art exploration designed for kids from birth to age 6 and their caregivers.

During each hourlong session, starting at 10 AM and 11 AM, visitors are welcomed into the studio to enjoy a special Storytime adventure.

Theme: Layers of History (featuring Mark Bradford's installation Pickett's Charge and the book Something, Someday by Amanda Gorman, illustrated by Christian Robinson). Kids will create their own artwork "painted" with paper. Schedule:

  • Session 1: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (10:00 Open play, 10:15 Read-aloud, 10:30 Art-making, 10:45 Gallery tour)
  • Session 2: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (11:00 Open play, 11:15 Read-aloud, 11:30 Art-making, 11:45 Gallery tour)

Cost: Free. No registration required (first-come, first-served; capacity is limited). Meet in the Hirshhorn Art School on the Lower Level. Stroller parking is available in the lobby and lower level.
