The 34th Annual Giant National Capital BBQ Battle is Washington DC's biggest food and music festival, taking place right at the foot of Capitol Hill along Pennsylvania Avenue!
This massive family-friendly block party features:
- Over 100 free food samples in the Giant Sampling Pavilion
- Live music across multiple stages (Go-Go, Reggae, Salsa, Rock, and more)
- The DC Sports Zone: Shoot hoops, test your skills, and meet players/mascots from the Washington Wizards, Capitals, Mystics, DC United, and more. Plus, see the Freedom 250 Indy Grand Prix Car!
- Art to Go-Go Village and interactive DC history exhibits
- Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest and watermelon eating contests
- World-Class Pitmasters competing for $50,000 in prizes
Hours:
- Saturday, June 27: 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Sunday, June 28: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Admission:
- Kids under 12 are FREE!
- Adult tickets start around $15.90. (Promo: Buy any 2 participating products at Giant Food stores between June 1–21 to get a buy-one-get-one-free ticket voucher).
